PewDiePie has certainly made a massive name for himself as a YouTube creator, so much so that it's hard for him to live a normal life most of the time. Now that he has moved to Japan, the YouTube star has revealed a big reason why he loves living there.
PewDiePie, aka Felix Kjellberg, has always been known for his entertaining videos and livestreamed content. Whether it's a vlog, a meme review, or just playing a video game, fans have always been there to watch and enjoy his content. After years of waiting, PewDiePie recently moved to Japan with his wife Marzia after living in the UK for many years.

While answering questions from fans in a recent video, PewDiePie revealed that the biggest reason he loves living in Japan is that he doesn't get recognized as much as he used to. Not many people in Japan seem to know who he is, so he is able to live a much more private life these days. PewDiePie also said in the video that he does of course love meeting his fans, but also enjoys the anonymity he now has in his new home. This news comes only months after Pewdiepie told his fans he was taking a break from YouTube.
PewDiePie had recently reached 110 million subscribers, showing the vast popularity he has gained over the years. This popularity also comes with some drawbacks, especially with a recognizable face seen on screens all over the world. There have been times when fans intruded on private moments, such as when he was out for dinner with Marzia and fans mobbed him. When talking about meeting his fans, PewDiePie has admitted, "I always smile when I meet people. It genuinely brightens me up."
Being as big a YouTuber as PewDiePie, his privacy is of course just as valid as anyone else's. He is human after all is said and done. Moving to Japan has taken a lot of hard work and patience on his and Marzia's part, but it seems well worth the efforts. Despite PewDiePie's views dropping in late 2021, he's sure to thrive in his new home with his wife and pugs.
PewDiePie also admitted that he still gets recognized from time to time by foreigners and those who want to practice their English, but most people don't know who he and his wife are. The move to Japan has been a massive change to his and Marzia's lives, and it seems to be for the better.
